Great food, a really nice (small) space - we came off peak, with a simple menu that delivers huge flavours. I actually came here for the Donuts (best ever) but left eating my very first actual truffle in some top notch scrambled eggs.
Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent food and good coffee at a good price. Table service was timely and our server was very attentive and enthusiastic to take care of our dining needs. We some doughnuts to take home after our meal and coffee, the salted caramel filled doughnut is delicious.We will definitely be coming back!
Cozy small place but nice big breaky! British breaky was yummy! Sandwich and coffee were great too. Definitely come back for more food to try ;)

Interesting English meals you aren't likely to see at most other cafes in Melbourne and lovely baked sweets to go with.
The cooked breakfast here sounded promising but didn't quite deliver. The hash brown was under done, the 'duck' was bland and needed better seasoning. The coffee was fairly good and the pastries look promising. The service was good and friendly which is exceptional given how full the place was. I will have to return another time, hopefully they were just having an off day as it was busier than usual.
Service excellent, food intuitive and very tasty. Price is reasonable. This won't be my last visit.
Cobb Lane is without doubt among the best of Melbourne's bakeries. Incredible doughnuts, pastries and high quality artisan bread (think sourdough, rye, seeded caraway and even pretzels).
Sit-in breakfast is an option but the small space means there can be a wait during peak periods like Saturday mornings. Also not a great space for groups of more than 4. Sometimes maybe easier to grab a coffee, loaf of bread and some pastries to have at home.
Service moves pretty quickly, although not sure why certain staff are not quite so friendly.
Take their coffee seriously without being d-bags about it (a rarity in Melbs) and have a good variety of beans to try and buy.
